Green Pledge #1: Follow the Energy
- Our two company directors currently mainly work from home, and their offices use 100% renewable electricity and 100% carbon neutral gas. They are in the process of converting their house to remove the use of gas.
- In Sep 2023, we calculated our scope 1 and scope 2 emissions as being almost zero.
- In September 2023, red10 received a Bronze Certificate from EcoVadis, the world’s most trusted Business Sustainability Rating.
Green Pledge #2: Follow the Travel
- Aug 2021: We changed our two company cars to be 100% electric. Whenever possible, we aim to fill them with renewable electric.
- Sep 2023: We committed to:
A Encourage our clients to use virtual wherever possible.
B Carbon offset travel. - Sep 2023: We chose 2019 as our base year the Science Based Target Initiative (SBTi).
We committed to a 46% reduction of our CO2 from 2019, by 2030, and to publishing our emissions annually.
We calculated our scope 1 and 2 emissions as negligible.
Using their GHG formula, we calculated:
2019 scope 3 emissions as 43.5 tCO2e. - Apr 2024: we recalculated using their updated GHG Conversion Factor:
2019 Scope 3 emissions as 160.5 tCO2e. We calculate 46% as 73.8t.
2023 scope 3 emissions data as 50.1 tCO2e - In May 2024, we calculated:
2024 Q1 scope 3 emissions as 17.8 tCO2e
Green Pledge #3: Follow the Money
Update: Jan-2024
- All of red10 ‘s directors and staff bank with organisations that get a green rating on https://bank.green/
- In red10 ‘s 2022-23 financial accounts, 13 suppliers accounted for the majority (76%) of red10’s cost-base. Of these:
• 8 have already switched to banks that get a green rating on https://bank.green/
• 2 have plans to switch banks

- We will not work with fossil fuel clients, nor with tobacco companies
Green Pledge #5: Follow the Suppliers
- We are sharing our Green Pledge with our main suppliers, and asking them to share their Green Pledges with us.

Our consultants are building a list of the #littlegreenthings they are personally doing:
- Choosing a renewable energy tariff/provider
- Air source heat pump
- Solar panels for hot water and electricity
- Helping to manage local green spaces, orchards and woods for biodiversity
- Bars of soap, not plastic bottles of hand wash
- Refillable bottles
- Sourcing recycled furniture
- Buy seasonal produce
- Consciously avoid over-packaged purchases
- Buy toilet paper and kitchen roll from Who Gives a Crap
- Tea bags from Tea Pig – giving back to communities who help bring us tea
- Using Smol Products for dishwasher, cleaning, surface-sprays, etc..
